I.E.T (Islamic Educational Trust) Government High School was established in 1926 in Narayanganj during the late-colonial era. Built on a vision to offer strong general education with moral grounding to the local community, it quickly earned a reputation for discipline, co-curricular culture, and academic rigor.
In subsequent decades, the school came under government administration, broadening access while preserving high standards. This transition supported growth in infrastructure, laboratories, and student activities, strengthening its role as a leading city institution.
For generations, I.E.T Government High School has produced strong results in public examinations. Its emphasis on science, mathematics, languages, and humanities has helped graduates excel in medicine, engineering, business, academia, and public service.
Today, I.E.T Government High School stands as one of Narayanganj’s most respected schools. Supported by a strong alumni community at home and abroad, it continues to uphold tradition while embracing modern teaching, technology integration, and student leadership programs.
